If 824,283 members do not provide enough competition, how many would be needed?

A good utilization of the homepage survey a few months ago could have happened when you were "polling" on a forum on whether or not to wipe the slate clean on the games archive. The forum topic was necessary too as an outlet for people to express actual written-out opinions, but that also could've been a way to see how the public swayed. I think the poll could, in the future, be used to asess a concencus on site changes.

but ranking is given to 80,000 members (approximately).. & CHESS.COM is the best chess online playing site over the world, so, we might expect more from it..

Another suggestion, that I've once brought up before, is a simple increase on the "status" portion of the player profile. I think a change from a 50-character limit to a 75-character, maybe even 100-character limit, would be a simple, and positive tweak to the site.

I completely agree with this. I often run into the limit and end up having to shorten what I wanted to say, so more characters would be very helpful.
