So, I was tooling around through various forum topics today, and I found a link to ouachita's profile. On it, there are two games that haven't ended, ostensibly because he went on vacation. I provide links here: http://www.chess.com/echess/game.html?id=26703988 and

I would think that you would want to change it so his account is not on vacation so those games can end. I'm not really sure how a closed account can be on vacation, but there it is.

Are you playing either of these games?

If the people playing are annoyed by these events, I'm sure they'll speak up themselves. In the meantime, it's not harming them to just wait for his vacation time to run out.

No, I'm not playing in either of them, but I was under the impression that when an account was closed for cheating all open games are immediately finished, with a victory going to the other player. Also, ouachita has over 1 month of vacation time remaining...

I mean, I suppose there isn't any harm in just letting the time run out, but still...I thought that things worked differently when accounts were closed for cheating.

How it usually goes is thus (to the best of my knowledge):

Tournament games are instantly resigned.

Normal games are left to rot.

Ah, I was unaware. Thanks for the clarification.

Wow (didn't even realize he'd been shut down).

Someone even asked Reb (or maybe it was Ozzie) for a limerick on the topic, so you've been missed.

Btw was I the only one to notice that his user name seemed practically like a taunt ("oh you a cheatuh")?
