Is the Tactics Trainer Drunk? I scored -90 on my first problem today and  +108 on the second problem. Both problems were rated fairly close to my rating. I have never seen changes of that magnitude before and I have tried several problems.

Same thing happened with me also.  All of a sudden Trainer was generous in giving scores and clawing them back too!

Something for chess.com to work on immediately.

I noticed this, but the net effect was zero really.  So long as the amount you lose and amount you gain are proportional to each other there will be a balance.

Due to changes we recently made on the site we had to reset everyone's RD in the Tactics Trainer which is causing the drastic rating changes for the first few problems that you do in the Tactics Trainer. As you continue to do more problems in the Tactics Trainer your RD will go down and the rating changes will not be as drastic and your rating in the Tactics Trainer will become more accurate.

Does that mean that we have to be extremely careful and make sure to pass the next few problems? I just scored 160 points!

As you continue to do more problems the rating adjustments will settle down.
