Just noticed this odd bit of answer on the following page:

http://www.chess.com/groups/help.html

What is Team Vote Chess?

Thematic tournaments require all games to start from a pre-defined starting position (such as the first 3 moves of the King's Gambit, for example). This allows players to play similar games and test each other in certain openings. Thematic tournaments are indicated with a special icon and also show the starting position of the games.

Team Vote Chess is no different from regular Vote Chess. To learn more about the rules and how to play, please click here.

Evidently the What is a thematic tournament? response has been accidentally slotted in there.

I don't usually bump threads, especially ones that are five months old, and especially my own threads. But I just checked the link, the issue still exists, and it is rather irksome!

Call me petty. No, honestly. I don't mind.

Re-bump! Seriously, can a single chess.com staff member please read this message? How much effort can it take to change one FAQ answer? Wink

It has now almost been half a year. Surprised

I will not rest until this FAQ answer has been brought to justice!
Even if I have to fight for it for the rest of my life!

For freedom!

It may not be worth correcting the FAQ for a single error. If you could identify say 9 more errors, I think TPTB would start taking notice.
