I was wondering if it is a good idea to request music during play our favourite game .

Chess & music is a combination that can make you feel different than usual.

My suggestion is to agree on some kinds of music that is suitable for cheess

& see if the owners of the site can help us with this .

Considering they haven't answered your thread yet perhaps you would have been better off posting this in the help and support forum. 

It could get tricky when it comes down to what type of music to select.  They'd probably have to do a vote and then would probably end up with some kind of cheesy pop music, which if that were the case I could see why they'd want to leave it alone. 

A good selection of classical would be a nice backdrop to chess.com.  Perhaps some more modern stuff too like Gershwin.

I would be careful in listening to anything that puts you to sleep, or that even relaxes you.  I would want to listen to something with some edge.  :-)  Sweet Home Alabama!  Give me some rock n roll!

Do you not have music in your home where you can just turn on your own stereo?  Or is it about subjecting an opponent to your music where they can just turn their sound off.  Or is it where two people can share the same game with the same music?  An option of hey check this song out while you analyze the position sounds nice though.
