Is there any way I can choose which game to post as my best win? Granted, I beat a NM, but it was on time after my first move...

I think the 'best win' is the win where you completely dominate the game from the beginning and make all the right decisions.

I think he means which game appears as your best win on your profile - as far as I know, it's just the game against you've won (by whatever means) against the highest rated opponent that appears. Mine's the same - a win on time - but at least that's an incentive to win against a higher rated player legitimately, I guess...

You can avoid the situation in the future by turning off the auto-win on time option.

After some period of waiting you could resign such games.

Actually, it was a tournament game; time limits are strictly enforced whether or not you want them to be.
