Or perhaps you could have written about the tens upon tens of thousands of people who die horribly each year despite giving their whole lives in service to religion? Where was their god when they needed it? Oh wait, they are at home with Jesus aren't they! Win/win situation!

God answered that question of why He allows these things (suffering and so on) but this is not the place or time to go over it, and prayer doe's work in God's timing not ours.
