Recently i had to click a link
http://www.chess.com/groups/forumview/members/view/sajay
It is redirected me to a group called HIdden Leaf Village
http://www.chess.com/groups/forumview/members
and i saw few messages including one of my friends that they also got redirected there.
why? the answer i think is
the forum pages are arranged in root called /forumview/
there each topic is saved/written with topic head as filename
as said groups' topic is named 'memebers'
i was redirected there.
So some interesting thoughts... what if that group was a closed group.?
what if i start with a topic some special names like members / chess / everyone will be redirected there..
YOurs...sajay

i went there it was really amazing, i think its a closed group, it'll bring more players attention to the Royals if u made anything like that.

Taking the pleasure of copying and pasting my answer which I had posted in the hidden leaf group forum:
This is because, when we copy and paste links through mozilla firefox, the links get pasted wrongly. For example, Sajay:
in Royal Chess forum, named expert advice, there is a link for a person named Reemoroto, when you click on that link, this is what it shows:
http://www.chess.com/groups/forumview/members/view/Reemorto
This is the wrong link, so chess.com's server redirects it to somewhere else, which happens to be here.
The correct link is
http://www.chess.com/members/view/Reemorto
This happens in many cases, in case of links of matches or vc games or forums or members' profiles. And this happens only when the poster uses firefox and this doesn't happen in chrome.
Another example is, if you look at a team match and see a player registered, and you copy and paste that in a comment using firefox:
Now suppose you view wish to view the profile of the first player.
The actual link is
www.chess.com/echess/profile/polleke
And the wrong link posted is
www.chess.com/groups/forumview/echess/profile/polleke/
which leads you to Chess Forums.
