Displaying the wrong number of games, scores, players, etc., is a serious problem because it makes one wonder about the integrity and accuracy of such things as ratings, leaderboard points, scores, etc. After all, what would you think if you did business with a bank and found a lot of incorrect numbers on checks etc.?

So it is no surprise that a number of mobile browsers aren't working, especially if they are older.

Iphone web browser both Safari and the widely used Atomic browser are pretty much the opposite of old.  I'd like to see more replies from the site builders on their opinions.

sometimes those numbers are off because of caching. when you have a site with millions of games being played, keeping a healthy database is key, and using caching is critical. sometimes that caching lags a little behind the real data. but yes, we can try to fix that bug.

Any idea when the privacy issue will be resolved? We were told last week that it would be taken care of in about 48 hrs, but still not resolved.

The new interface often uses very pale fonts that do not have enough contrast with the background. That degrades their legibility and makes the site more difficult to use. Would you please provide more contrast in order to make the fonts more easily legible?

How do we use this option?/Where do we find it. Hope it's not hidden, too! :-) Thank you, Erik!

If privacy issue is resolved, how do I "hide friends'?

I don't think that issue has been resolved yet. I had looked for it as well. No options there, as yet. But I did read somewhere a staff member said this feature/option is going to take some time to create.

Dropped links in group notes are still not working.

If the "hide friends" issue is difficult to create, as chess_kebabs has said, why not just not show them except to the person his/her self, as before?

Later, you could add a "show friends" option for those who wish to publish their friends to the world!!

It seems to me a human right to privacy, and here I'm concerned with the  members who make up whole website, and their rights, and the image of Chess.com being honest and decent.

I only just saw Erik's above post...

Erik,   you didn't give the option to hide our list from EVERYONE..

That is what has been asked for here every time, to have that option.. not to just hide it from non-friends.

    Allegretto, see Erik's post #663.

They have now given the option to hide our friend's list from non-friends.

But there is still no option to hide the list from everyone, as you can do in Facebook and all social networks, if you want to.

Thank you chess_kebabs! I had just looked at the privacy things, and agree. The only options are to show to your friends or the entire membership. Also, this for notes, etc. This is not at all what privacy is about. I don't want an exclusive little club of friends! If I want a friend to have a message, I just sent them a message. I don't see why other friends, some of whom may be slight acquaintances or chessgame friends, should have to see photos of my "friends."  Are we back in seventh grade or something? (no offense to any seventh graders who may be playing chess). It's really stupid.

I would imagine unchecking the checkbox Friends can view my friends. would do that.

    Oddly placed under invites though.

Eric, is there any way to hide "friends list" from everyone, not just non-friends?  It used to be hidden from everyone unless you wanted others to see it. Why not have all your privacy info set as a default so no one can see anything unless you select who is privy to it, instead of this way?

Agreed. That's odd. Looking into it now.
