Howdy!

Just thought I would drop in here. I am new to the game of chess, well kinda. I know how the pieces move, and thats about it. I tried playing Yahoo Chess many years ago, but was disheartened to find out that alot of people just plugged my moves against a computer program, and reacted based on what the software did. There was a huge thing about it on Yahoo games.

       Anyhow, back then... I never really learned any tactics or strategy. I just knew how the pieces moved, that's it. I'm hoping to develop my chess game here from the ground up :) Seems like a great community, and fun place to learn. A big bonus is the correspondence chess here. I work in IT, so... I am at my desk alot. It gives me the ability to play chess throughout the day :)
