no FAQ in menus

    Hi.

    I'm just wondering why there is no FAQ in the menus? Not even the rules for this site is easy to find. Took me over a week just to find out that using opening books is allowed. Took me another week to learn that it's not ok to use computer assistance (not that I used any). Such information should be easy to access to prevent any misunderstandings.

    My five cents.

    Did you even look? It's the first thing that comes up when you click help at the top right of the screen -_- -_-

    There's also a link to the FAQs at the bottom of every page.  I signed up a long time ago, and maybe my memory's faded and maybe it's changed since then, but aren't the rules made clear when you start an account?

    If they are not they should be -- you should probably even be forced to acknowledge them before you create an account.

    I did - actually, but I never saw that help-link in my search for a FAQ-link. Probably my bad. Anyway, when I clicked help now to see what's in there, I had to navigate alot to find what I was looking for. The section about cheating is under "general questions", and not "online chess rules and questions", which you would think?

    Maybe put that help-link inside one of the menus and also add the FAQ-name to it, so that even us nOobs can find it. Smile

    Well, saying you can't find it is one thing. Saying what you've found is unorganised is another

    @RR:

    I'm not quite sure I understood what you wrote there. I didn't find it until you pointed it out to me. And then, when I got there, after you pointed it out, I found it a tad unorganized, yes. But that was not what you meant?

    So long as you've found what you need, all is well :)
