Is online chess too Mickey Mouse ?

Have Internet websites created the opening for droves of sinister characters to become involved with chess, do you reckon ?

In otb, someone needs enough interest in chess to travel to tournaments and learn to play well.

But on the Internet, a bloke only needs a couch scratched to bits by the cat, a half empty bottle of suds and a second hand computer to log in and play chess really badly!

He then works for free as a douchebag forum junkie.

It was better in the good old days when low lifes had to go down to the park to play badly!

How about dividing up a chess website into the playing arena and the park ?

On second thoughts, maybe Daffy Duck should be in the title.

Daffy Duck is insensitive to people with speech difficulties.
