How is it possible that Phoebetors rating in Tactic treiner was 4000, and then it suddenly droped to 2855?

Personally, I don't remember Phobetor ever having a 4000 TT rating. I thought it was some free-member that had that rating, not phobetor.

I never had 4000. I also remember seeing that someone did have some ridiculous rating like 4000 but it wasn't me. Although 2924 is ridiculously high as well ;) :P

Maybe that 4000 rated player was a top GM dropping in to use the facilities every now and again. Or someone using a computer.

I'd tend to believe the second statement. I mean the higher level puzzles have longer time limits (more than enough to set it up on a chess engine). His rating just kept going up and never really seemed to get any wrong, until he settled at 4000 and stopped.

But really who is he harming but himself if he cheats on TT ?

Or maybe it was a transformer! who had upgraded its self to a super-super-super computer!

I'm quite sure that the user who reached 4000 in TT was cuevito.

The 2600+ puzzles are almost impossible to solve even though you get many minutes on the clock. These puzzles typically are complicated endgame positions with several pieces and pawns on each side with a subtle tactical twist. Solving several of these without failing is impossible...
