first i wish to preface my post with a couple statements to prevent some of the more pretentious and condescending members from replying with the typical snarky under-handed sarcasm: no, i am not a premium member (not enough money at the moment). no, i dont have a problem with ads on a site i dont pay for.

BUT. i have been having a problem with my pieces not showing up on my game boards, and i have noticed that every time it happens, the ad for some "evony" (sp?) game is at the top of the screen. i was just wondering if anyone else had this problem, or if my computer was just whacked out. its become a pain, having to keep reloading the page or go back to My Online Chess to see my pieces. thanks everybody.

Now that you mention it, I had the same issue. I couldn't figure it out before...but it makes sense now.

which ad is it? can you please use the REPORT AD button when you see it next?

it just sort of happens, there is no real singular ad that does it, sometimes an ad doesn't even appear and it will happen.

If you are using Firefox then install Adblock Plus, which you will find in Add-ons for Firefox, and there will be no ads and your pages will load a lot faster plus your problem will be solved.
