Maybe Erik or someone else can answer some of these questions I have regarding the upcoming human vs. human online game playing capability.

1. Will multiple people be able to 'join' a live game and watch it? If so, will they be able to chat with others about it in some kind of chatroom?

2. How will the games be organized? Will there be 'Beginner' and 'Advanced' player rooms? Or will you just manually accept/deny a game request from someone based on their rating?

3. Will there be a 'game history'? If so, would you be able to view any of your old games? (maybe you could allow other people to view them too.. like sharing your 'Best Games' or something :)

Obviously there are a million features that an online chess playing community can have, and I know it would be wrong to expect everything to be there in the first 'beta', but I am just wondering what it's going to be like Smile

sorry :) been busy

the first LIVE chess that will be released this month will have chat, play, ratings, and a few other bells and whistles. i'm not sure if it will have guests right away.

also, there will be a list of games and the ability to determine what ratings you will accept. there will also be rooms just for certain skill levels.

it WILL be able to store games which you can then share with others on the site.

basically, once this first simplified version launches and is good then it will be easy to add more and more features :)

i'll be looking at a preview of the launch version this coming monday. i'll post more after that!

No problem, I know you're a busy man :)  I am glad to hear that it will have that many features at the start, I know implementing all of that stuff takes alot of work.

I like the idea of having the game history and being able to see "Best Games." It would even give you an idea of how good a player is as you watch their best games. I like it.
