RusudanGoletiani is a faker!?

ACCOUNT CLOSED FOR CHEATING

This member's account was closed because they were found to be cheating. Chess.com does not tolerate any kind of cheating including: multiple accounts, unfair computer assistance, outside help on games, etc.

I played her, and I lost, however in a hard batle and was not angry. She is WGM - well-known person - is it possible that it was not she, but a cheater? Please give us more information!

WGM Ms Goletiani should sue the fake Goletiani for civic damages. [so should chess.com] It is more than about cheating at chess.

Unless they used a really good chain of anonymiser-proxies etc... [specially one with an off-internet link in the chain..] in which case one has to just take it on the chin and move on... titled players dont have to send physical proof to chess.com???

Well the CIA could *maybe* get an ID on them but why should they? [Maybe it *was* an intlligence agency testing something out... ]

I'm actually more curious about the psychology of the faker. Why would someone get a thrill from pretending to be her? Weird.

It was deffinitelly a good player, master level, and didn't use programs for playing, I think, for I looked at a few games and I saw he/she made some mistakes. Why he/she used a name of real person, is a mystery.

I made a mistake in the topic name - "hot" instead "not". Frown

He/she made some mistakes because of the usage of a lobotomized engine, such as SlowBoe from ICC. Unfortunately such cheats are impossible to detect only by examining the moves.

Freudian typo?

It's really sad to have players cheating like that. It's a game of personal achievement. How could anyone gain any satisfaction out of artifially raising a number such as the rating? It makes no sense.

I am confused? Has this persons account been closed for using someone else's name? Or for cheating? Or not being able to back up their WGM claim?

I have observed her games and also messaged her for her opinion on complicated Idea's in certain positions, notably the Human v Prog vote game. She has always explained, responded and played in a manner that was consistent with being a top notch player!

Is this a legitimate thread? The name of the individual is FAKER now, if it has been changed...

Yeah, the account name has been changed - I recognize the notes as being Rusa's before.

Weird.

it was not WGM Rusadan who was operating the account so it's someone who was using her name.  I played her/it twice and agree her comments and play were consistent with being a top player her moves were not particulalry engine like, unlike some people whom I've played.  Very weird.  She/it invited me to play some games when i was in New York, might have been interesting lol.

After reading above comments, I suggest chess.com reactivate the account - with ratings and games reset - under another name? - say FAKEWGM?
