Currently, it is Pelger, rated 2850. You can find out here:

When have you ever seen anyone rated 3000? It would be tough to reach that rating, as you would need other people near it to gain sufficient rating points. Every loss would be a major hit.

If you cheat you get banned from the site in a snap. Way before you'd reach 3000.

That is also detected and crushed. To a tiny, tiny pulp.

If it's so easy, why don't you try it? Be sure to post on the forums your proof of this heroic deed!

Probably not best to say 'well why not cheat', that doesn't put you in a favourable light now does it? Wink

For anyone reading this, don't go about cheating because you feel it is easy.

a) You will get banned and then we will all laugh at you as you are put on the WALL OF SHAME

b) You don't achieve anything from cheating. Oh good, your rating is higher than everyone elses! You're so special because you can enter moves into a computer program! We all bow down to you!

Someone did get above 3000 briefly by creating multiple accounts and timing out loads of matches to their other accounts. They were reported within 24 hours of hitting 3000 and banned within a couple of hours.

When I joined about 10 months ago the highest rating was nearly 200 points lower than the highest rating is now - it will probably rise by another 100 or so points in the next 12 months. A legitimate 3000 is only a matter of time.
