Hello chess.com staff and users - I couldn't find any other mention of this, but I have talked to many people who have seen this same bug. When chatting during a game, if I type several messages quickly, the chat window will often reverse their order, or just put them in some random order.
For example, if I were to quickly type 1, (Enter), 2, (Enter), 3, (Enter), 4, it'll often end up looking like 2, 3, 1, 4 or something like that. Try it out. It's weird and it's getting in the way of my chats, because we're constantly having to clarify which statement is supposed to be read first.
Sure, "type slower and wait between entries for longer" is one solution, but we shouldn't HAVE to do that. Has anyone else seen this and is there any way it can be fixed? Thanks!
No reason to fix it. It is easy to figure out and makes life more interesting.
Who talks important/critical stuff in chat during a game?
Non simpletons, something you woudln't understand.
Wrong dosage again?
Yeah, this issue drives me insane. A fix would be VERY appreciated.
Just talk backwards, simple.
Yip...has happened to me too....talking backwards, now why did I not think of that!!
because talking backwards wouldn't fix the problem. It's inconsistent, so it's unpredictable, plus, it's not a linear issue. 1 2 3 4 is not 4 3 2 1, it's seemingly random. And to the first responder, I really enjoy my chats during my games. Making chess-loving friends on here has been one of the site's real strong points for me.
should the this fix Yes, chess.com soon. definitely staff fix
There are easy work arounds.
Write like Hemmingway.
Simple points will build into more complex.
Strike that, reverse it.
was that a Willy Wonka quote? If so...nice.
LOL
It's happened before, but I don't bother.
sentences-swapped is well out-of-order
