Look... I love this site but I get the same D@&$! popup everytime I open this site.

Which popup might you ask... non other than the dumb Quiz. Is chess dot com really allowing popups for the dumb quiz... Id like to think for the most part this community is semi intelligent.  I know i'm not a paying member, and for the most part I dont mind the ads, but useless out of window popups... seems to cheapen the experience for me. Thanks for reading my banter, I need to go get a cash advance while I can, Milgard's gonna help me with my stimulus package, maybe I'll spend it on some affordable health care.

I have Mozilla and up until now it would block ALL and I mean ALL the pop-ups I would get, when I was using IE, even the pop-ups on sites which REALLY want you to see their pop-ups, if you know what I mean.

Now all of a sudden, good ol' firefox can't block ads from chess.com

WOw, so chess.com wants to pop ads even more than "other" sites, wow, they're determined.

Josh made 1700$ in a week, well josh can phockoff

Never ever see an ad.

Why complain when you use a product for free?  There are other sites you can play on if this is such a big deal.

Spaz.

Chess.com advertising for other sites means more money or advertisement for chess.com which means more members and more 'upgrades' to the site, right?

So just ignore the advertisements....it's not that hard.

Make a game of it. Click on the pop-ups as they come up and buy what they're selling. If you enjoy what you've just bought than you're a winner, if you don't then at least you don't have to live knowing that you passed up a possibly great deal or experience.

The next day, try to increase the number of things you purchase to show that you're internet savvy and tech-smart. What are you, some kind of relic?

Click and win. That's what it's all about.
