first of all, i want to go on record as being a full supporter of banning cheater_1. chess.com has no room for smart alecks.

that being said, i think we should ban all members with numbers in their screenname. so not just cheater_1, but silentfilmstar13 and chess_champion26. clearly this kind of behavior is indicative of smart-alecky-ness. also, names with abreviations like "ChessIQ" and "Jaguarphd." those members should have to re-register with real names. members with names that may or may not be abbreviations should be forced to explain themselves--and then be banned (xbigboy, loomis, mercytoneoneZ, etc). and anybody whose name has unnecessary capitalizations, like LATITUDE or CarlMI (who would have to be double-banned for also abreviating. how rude).

and then the real work could begin. anybody who sets their homepage to having yellow text--banned. and erik, can chess.com monitor every correspondence and live game being played? because i think we should ban anybody who opens 1. d4 more than twice every ten games. that's not fair. ban them. and anybody who's livechess rank is higher than their correspondence rank shouldn't be allowed in our community, because that's not human. and anyone whose favorite chess player is fischer. laaaaammme.

i look forward to a cleaner, brighter future here at chess.com.

Hey dude, you left out people with underscores in their name. What is that? Nobody in the real world has an underscore,  it just smacks of fakeness. Ban those people.

Oh, also, anyone with a name of more than 7 letters should be banned for wasting our time reading long usernames!

And erik!  Who the heck does that guy think he is?!  Banned.

Not just Erik, he is the dangerous leader of a vicious gang known as "Staff". You can identify them by their logos they use to intimidate everyone. The whole lot of them should be banned. But, um, make sure they're banned last so that there is someone here to ban everyone else. kthxbye.

Ban anyone who plays 1. f4 also! Hey wait, that's me :-).  I mean, who loves chess....DOH!!! I never seem to get these things right! :-)

I love this post, it brings a smile to my face...Ban those who like smiling too!

Let's not forget those with profile pictures that are clearly not of them or those with no profile pics at all.  How are we supposed to know who we're playing against and talking to if all we get is a grey silhouette or worse, a cartoon or pointlessly unrelated icon.  There's just no accountability.

I don't understand the disclaimer, that's what I would have imagined you to look like. But you're still banned for use of a definite article in your name. Come back and re-register with the name AGrobe once you've lost the pompous attitude.

I'm saddened that you'd mistake what is clearly my sensitivity and resulting pre-emptive defensiveness about my disfigurement for pompousness.

I've no excuse for the "The" though.  Ban me too.
