Ok,

what does it mean if you make a forum post within a group, sticky?

As the admin of the group your options after posting is edit / delete / sticky...

What is that and what does it do? I apologize if this is a question I should know the answer to.

Thanks in advance,

My understanding is that a "sticky" is a post that will "stick" to the top of the forum, thus an admin could make an important announcement "sticky" so that all that dropped by would see the important note and it would not get buried.

I just Googled it and came up with this:

"If Posts and Threads are set to being "sticky", they will appear at the top of the Forum listing."
