Could someone discuss the differences and strengths for each. I am using the Tactics Trainer to get rid of my 'Chess Blindness' using it as a substitute for Polgar's massive "Chess" book. Suggestions, comments?
With Tactics Trainer and Computer Workouts, what are the strengths of having Chess Mentor, anyone?
SerbianChessStar
Tactics trainers have alot of examples of tactics which were never in games ( Making the possibility of getting in that position in real life almost slim -to- none), also there is no explaination behind any move,
computer workout is pretty useful..
Chess mentor has moves that are explained, and shows why it is the best move, making this more valuable over the other 2 programs

There aren't any. Diamond is for videos.
So Kupov the only real advantage for Diamonds are the videos? Hmm Mentor does look enticing!

@SerbianChess: All of the tactics on the chess.com tactics trainer come from real games, they have links to the source and analysis.
I personally only use tactics trainer, although I would use computer workout if I had more time. I have no interest in chess mentor, though that's just my personal preference.
Mentor looks enticing, and some of the courses are alright.
When you get down to it Computer Workout is just so much better.

Chess Mentor has some excellent courses. True, they are variable in quality, but there will always be a course to suit your current stage of progess in chess.
A couple of the courses have been of real benefit to my game. Chess Mentor is the perfect medium for chess tuition - you get the explanation for all the moves, hints of varying strengths, the ability to think through the position at your own pace and realtime playing of moves. I personally recommend it very highly. The only sight caveat is that some courses need to be more closely scrutinised for consistency.
