It's impossible to control that. Teaching ladder that i think about would be based on peoples willing to help weaker players. It's obvious that at some point help from stronger ones will be very rare as they will have no time or they will take money for lessons.

So... No control just a group of friendly people willing to help others.

Ok.

Many people read this thread and some wrote their opinion. Thank you guys. I decided to start a group. It's called Chess Teaching Ladder. Anyone willing to help others or learn should join.

Remember though that joining really means that you want to contribute. I hope to see you all soon :)

This thread seems to have been inactive for about a month.  But I would like to try to reanew it, and join the ladder.

So, first order of buisness, how to set it up.   Anyy ideas?

I'm thinking that we could use a basic thread to create the ladder.  The person (or two) above you are your mentors, and you mentor the person (or two) below you.  Then every month (or two/three) we could somehow reases the ladder, and have the couches just finish up the last game they were playing.

Also, I think that all games from this ladder should be unrated, that way there will be no 'harm' done if the student wins.

Coments, sugestions?

For one, how are we going to acess rank.  We could use the chess.com ranking for the first formation of the ladder, but after that, what, should we continue to use the chess.com rating?
