is there a way to see top teams on the site according to the average rating of the team?
thanks lauri i meant according to teams average rating tho of players...like asp_champs is 1801 last time i looked is there a way to see how that compares to other teams?
Yes plus the team leaderboard is weighted for senority for whatever reason. There are teams that haven't won a single match listed as 75th percentile just because they've been in existence for a few years.
It´s manual labour to evaluate teams, no ready tool for that.
On the home page on the groups is thier average Rating..i just checked the celts and it showed there average rating..
what was the question?
the question bullet is to get a list of all teams in order of whos got the highest to lowest average team rating :)
Ok sorry. That turk is bogged down enough allready...good luck)
I haven´t found such a list. You have to make Your own.
It'll be an interesting result when the list is compiled, but please be aware that it's a dynamic list: someone higher-rated joining a small team tomorrow will make that team's rating jump measureably, or a lot of new enthusiastic 1200-rated players joining a large team can weigh it down quite quickly. This measure, it seems, would be useful, for teams that have some reasonable selectivity of membership.
There are teams, I am part of several, where membership is conditional on a minimal rating (e.g., 2000), or on some special contribution or skills. Those are usually quite high-rated on average. Some of them 2200+, I believe.
The Mighty 2000, A Miniscule Resemblance...
yea _valentin_ it would therefore not be a person that is able to keep up. Chess.com should somehow create an automated way to do this that way teams can challenge a team equal to its strength vs being in a match where ur either dominated or dominating your opponant
it dont matter how high the rating is!! just kick some tail and watch the numbers rise!
You may find this relevant: Daws74, a member of a group I'm in (actually probably several!) did an ELO crunch on the most active vote chess teams (that is, used software that determines ranking of a player given several games as input).
Top 30 Vote Chess ELO rankings for long time control (1 day per move or longer) and a minimum of 5 games completed as of Sep 1, 2011:
Höpö höpö !!!
dude thats awesome!! THANKS!
Yeah, no problem! This one's out of date, there's a group that keeps it up to date. let me go search for it...
Aha! found it. http://www.chess.com/groups/home/vote-chess-elo-rankings
The most recent ones just came up, you can find them in that group's forum.
why are chess players so mean and why do they only think about themselves?
