    Really hope Anand wins this. Getting sick of the 1.d4 fanatics that think theirs is the only way to play Smile.

    ============

    More than d4 the history discussion on final game of WCC is fanatic. Someone should tell them its's final.

    Kramnik feels that while the computer may say that they are about equal...Anand has played for a long term positional advantage at the cost of a pawn...it looks like we will see a result today...tic tok tik tok...

    What will be your response if you would be in Gelfand's position ? Don't say I would have resigned.

    haha this painting actually looks like the one that I posted and that was duckified.

    By the way, some days ago I commented on the time not really being used. It felt unfair to me that a player has though ALOT longer than his opponent and still gets the same score for a draw.

    They could use the time for the tiebreaker. Add up all time remaining for both players. The one who has most gets 2hrs and the other gets relative time to 2hr. In this way the time you take to think is not of a huge importance UNLESS it comes to a tiebreak. Then the person who thought least gets rewarded.

    Example:

    Boris has 5hrs left on the clock from all games, Anand has 10hrs left on the clock from all games. Then for the tiebreaker game(s) Anand get 2hr and Boris (5/10*2=) 1hr

    ...most GMs are recommending 10...Be7 for Gelfand...in line with Houdini.

    I think it's pretty neat how white made the Sicilian so cramped after the pawn sacrifice.

    Black bishop to d3 seems strong to me by the way. It can't go anywhere, but supports everything and when a pawn moves he attacks something.

    dekaleaas , again that makes no sense at all.

    Time can be allocated by the player anyway he wants.

    If we use time as tie breaker , then we have to use how much they walk as a tie breaker.Because when you sit on the table when your opponent thinks you think too.Why that should not count?

    I bet today Anand isn't going to let gelfand get away with such a disadvantage in time.
