DRAW!!! The world chess championship will continue to rapid games on Wednesday, at 4:00am eastern time. What a match!
draw draw draw draw draw draw drawPetrosian would be proud.
arre yaar fir se draw ho gaya
draw agreed -_- big chess upset - lots of people are going to be mad.
On the bright side, I know i got todays quiz question right!
Now I work Tuesday night, so I may have to just not go to sleep when I get off work. There is a chance that I won't be able to do this, so there is even more drama for me personally
Anand has the pawn Gelfand has the 2 bishops, Anand will offer a draw at around 26th move(+/- 3) and Gelfand will accept.See you tomorrow.
cool prediction sir....
ah lame, another draw. If they draw the rapid games as well after 20 moves I stop watching it.
well Viva if they draw everything there is that final blitz game where if a draw black wins, that sounds exciting
Draws are more exciting than wins.
I think Gelfand has only won three games of classical chess throughout the entire candidates matches and this match put together
I hope Anand loses.
I mean- he is the better player, but applying a zero-risk strategy to win the match at rapid games (where he is clearly superior to Gelfy) is a disgrace for the sport. He really should be punished for that.
Wow, pfren! I assume you didn't like Grischuk's strategy in the candidate's matches as well?
Well we will see what Gelfand has prepared for the rapid games. But Gelfand nearly every match needed more time than Anand so I doubt Gelfand will win.
Playing to his strengths is a disgrace to the sport?
Like it or not, that's the format of the match, so hard to blame Anand for it, as boring as I find it.
I hope this doesn't come down to an armageddon blitz game...that would be ridiculous....might as well flip a coin to decide the world champion.
True. I hate the armageddon game.
I'm confused: How are you looking at the championship?
As far as I'm concerned they are now joint world champions. The blitz games will probably be decided by someone missing a stupid tactic.
I think Anand's reputation will deservedly take a huge hit from this too - he still is yet to "win" a game in however many months it is in classical time controls, and in the future I now doubt he will be remembered as one of the great champions, even if he wins this.
