Hi everyone I have only been here 5mins and already it is my new home. I really like the amzing amount of features available and believe I will be here for a long time to come. When I have a few extra pounds I am going to get a premium membership and start a few tourneys and a team so you'll be hearing from me soon. If anyone knows of any tourneys that are 10 day per move please inform me as at the moment I can only play friendly's and Id like to play other forms. I just started live chess and its wicked. Keep up the good work guys

Welcome aboard! This site is like drugs...very addicting. But, unlike drugs, it is a GOOD thing!

Bud I wont claim to be an expert but I may be able to teach you a thing or two if you like. I know what its like to be a beginner so know what is best to start learning. I can also recommend some great books if you have time and money

can anyone explain how I might view my finished games? I think its great that chess.com keep all our games stored because if I buy a membership in teh future I can see all my old games. The last site I played on was where I first learned to play and I have some terrible games on there but I start here as a medium player so its staright into improving my positional and tactical knowledge of teh opening middlegame and endgame

To view finished games simply go to your online chess home.  At the bottom of the page should be a list of recent games listing you and your opponent.  At the end of the row should be a link titled "view".  Click on this link and you can see your past games and annotate them if you like.  There is also a link at the top of these games "View my games archive" that will take you to view your older games.

I see from your profile that you've only been a member since April 24th and that you've only finished six games.  You should be able to view all those games.  I can view them with no problem.  When you click on the view link to those games they should come up with the last move made.  You need to click on the "moves" tab to the right of the board to view the whole game over.  There are buttons at the bottom of the move list which allow you to go to the beginning |<, end |>, forward/backward one > or < , and forward/backward five >> or <<.

If you are at your home you need to go to the control panel at the upper right to and click on the "online chess" link.  Your games are viewed from your "online chess" home not your regular profile home.  Once you are on your "online chess" page you should be able to find your games.  I'm not sure what is going on with the photos.

Hey -- bring some of your friends over from your last site and tell them how awesome chess.com is!  You get rewarded if your references become paying members. Money mouth
