Which time limit do you prefer to play and why: 1 day/move, 3 days/move, 5 days/move or more?
Gert-Jan
I prefer to mix the time limit. I have a couple of games with 3 days time limit,5 day time limit and even longer. I prefer to have one or two games with 1 day time limit.
Mysterix
I prefer 1 day/move, otherwise you have to wait for soooo long
eternal21
3 days seems like the best compromise.

I started several 1 day games so I could finish five before the December 1st tournaments start (I'm new here). But I'm winning too many on timeouts and my rating is higher than I believe it should be.
If this keeps up, I'll switch back to 3 day limits and see if my opponents will finish more games with me. I prefer faster games, but I also want to play to the end.

i'd prefer 1-day time limits, but i cannot be certain that i will be able to make a move every day. there is the random day here and there that i don't/can't make a move. therefore i go with 3-day time limits. if there was a 2-day option i'd most likely use it instead.

I like multiple moves a day so find it too slow to play longer games.

For the official tournaments minimum games played do not apply to premium members.
As an example see this players list for players at the 1200 rating. Two premium members meulmeestere and justjeepn19 are registered with less than five games played as of today. Give it a try in your current rating group.

Once players have played about 30 games their time/move average gives a good indication of activity. High activity players, low time per move average, will be online often and can make many moves within the three day limit. Be careful about playing one move/day games against basic members or members with a high timeout percentage.

People this is not a race it take time no one want to lose they have to think it out on the move

I prefere 3days/move though I play several moves per day if it is possible... It is because of weekends and another events when I can't be here.
