Just a simple suggestion to help with the problem that I see often, which is a couple of slow players holding up hundreds of other people in a tournament:

Why don't you set it up so that the next round of a tournament starts as soon as the participants are certain (which is often before all the games complete).

For example, if there is a game between the 2 lowest players in a group remaining, there's no reason to delay the next round for that, just let the top player advance and the tournament can continue.

Should be pretty easy to implement?

Great idea. Besides that I want say that every player has the right to use all the time he wants within the agreed time limit. (e.g. 3 day per move)
I am such a player myself and I am in no hurry at all.

Except if you are in a clearly lost position. Then you owe it to others to move on.

Of course it's a great idea: http://www.chess.com/forum/view/community/chesscom-feature-request-and-wishlist-4?page=9 Wink
