User names

I am interested in changing my user name.  But the few that I have interest in changing it to are already taken.  I know what you're thinking or gonna say, "pick something else" or "add a number to it".  But here is the question: is there an expiration date / how long will an account stay "active" due to inactivity??

Tag one of interest - created on 11/4/07, last time online 11/8/07.  Tag two of interest - created 4/23/08, last online 4/24/08.  Tag three of interest - created 2/2/08, last online 2/2/08.

Thoughts / comments??  (No trolling please...)

It doesn't matter if they quit. Their names will never be available because there are games attached to most names.  Wiping those games would upset the whole rating system.

Thanks for the response; I didn't think of the ramification(s) associated in that sense.  I think that only one of the three tags had a different rating than the default 1200.

Time to think of something else I guess...
