Alright... how many suffer from too many games (raises hand)? Im at around 60, and for my work load... 60 is killing me. I usually juggle about 30 or less. Too many matches joined..too many challenges accepted... my chess has a cold.

So how many do you have going on and what for you is too many?

i have a similar problem and usually it just makes me play bad-er.  i'm playing a girl with way too many games going on who simply just doesn't make her moves.  i hate her. (not really)

i love everyone!

I have been a poor game manager.  I normally plan to have on average 12 games.  This isn't too demanding, and I like playing chess stress free.  However I am in 3 tournaments and two of them are within a couple of games from starting the next round.  I then widdled my games down to where I had three or four games left, anticipating 18 new games.  But the games in the tournament have been going on for weeks, leaving me waiting.  I now have completed two games in the last 3 weeks because of it.

It's tough to manage. Tournament games can really sneak up on you if your not carefull.

ilikeflags.... i know exactly what your saying. There is always it seems those couple of games that just.......go.............on.....for............eva.... sigh. And when you check that opponents # of games.... 432. Yell...lol.

socket2me.... you poorly manage? My first and only tourny that I managed in which14 of my student players played in... had a group size of...14. They had to play 2 gamed per opponent.... equals...BAM.... 26 games added to their list.

They were not happy.

I keep anywhere from 10-20 games, after that I start to spend too much time on chess.com and begin to get dirty looks from my co-workers... Embarassed

I seem to be gradually accumulating games since i started.   The problemt that I am having is that people take different amounts of time to respond, so I start jonesing for a game, and start another one.  So far I have 7 in progress, though only 3 seem to be active at any given time.

"Too many" doesn't seem to be a factor of number alone, but of how active your games actually are and how much time you and your opponents have to commit to the game.

i tend to build my games up too if i play people who move really slowly.  i want to play...  my desire to play is my downfall sometimes.

I used to stay near 70-85, but now I'm comfortable with the 20-30 that I have. It gives me more time to focus on certain moves.

I usually play 30-60 games but I've seen players with 1000+ games played at the same time...inhuman.
