What happened to the no ads for the paying community?

This must have happened some time ago now, but i keep seeing ads and it get's a bit annoying. What happened to the promise of no ads?

It's mentioned in the terms of service before you sign up for premium membership, that chess com may have such advertisements only on the home page from time to time. No big deal.

I would be happy to only see only one ad a day but I wish I had a Premium membership so then I wouldn't really care. You should be happy that you have no ad's, I have been here for nearly as long as the site started and the addition of ad's has been here for at least a year, I have got use to them. I think that you should be happy that you only need to see one a page and not have pop up ad's Like I have, (Please chess.com sort this out, it really is annoying). Be happy and use your membership to it's full extent and just ignore the ad's

I don't like ads on my online chess page ... maybe paying customers aren't appreciated enough. come on Eric .. .take that big ad off my online chess page. PLease!

Maybe it's not that advert he refers to, sometimes despite of been premiun members I've seen ads because site worked buggy

here you can see I have a star (gold member) and tons of ads. But this doesn't happened to me ultimately

that's an old screenshot of a game of his; and he was just observing his own game, not playing it. you can see there is no chat, no green submit move button, no "my move" message, etc.
