We had a similar contest to predict the 1,000,000th member here at Chess.com.  Since we are now at 1,978,343 members as of 12:47P.M. EST
it is time to guess again!!!
      So what is your prediction?  What date and at what time will the
2,000,000th person join Chess.com as a new member?

There aren't many guesses so far.  The 1,000,000th member thread was
quite popular.

Wow, it seems like only yesterday we did the 1,000,000th member thread.  Those mergers really change things don't they.  I guess the big question is: Will all of those duplicate Facebook accounts be deleted/merged before or after we reach the 2,000,000 mark?  And if after, are we going to be guessing again once we've dropped below 2 mil?  And when will all the igoogle accounts get merged in?  How many different members will have the distinction of being the 2,000,000th member? 

If nothing else changes merger wise in the next couple weeks, I'll guess the 4th of July 17:00 UTC.

why there was such interest in the 1,000,000th member and just a moderate
response to the 2,000,000th member?
