It seems like if you make a small mistake or don't say something exactly right you will get flamed from several directions here on Chess.com. Why is that? It can't all be blamed on immaturity. I'm not naming anyone in particular but some people seem to enjoy arguing and flaming. It's like a sport to them. I just wonder if we could all try to be a little nicer to each other.

I guess it's because there are so many people on here with butts on both ends.

Its the instinct to win at all costs be it at chess or argument. God give us grace to admit defeat and smile at our own mistakes.

Because civility doesn't rhyme with chess.

If it weren't for us jerks, then all the good people wouldn't be able to feel superior.
