This isn't really a "Blitz Session", but I thought I'd leave it here anyways : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ylAyJeV0g5w

Basically a mix of puzzles, blitz and rants. If you liked it, check out the four previous episodes :)

Hey, that was awesome. I only saw the first 15 minutes or so but there was a good bit of educational material. Heck, even the part where you talk about IM Pool was educational. Some quotes I liked: "I am sick: I got a runny nose, a sore throat and an ear infection. I'm also feeling lazy." "I'll see you on the other side of the paused video, whatever that means." "You're a 2200, how do you not know basic opening theory?" And lastly, "It's kinda funny, I can't develop any of my kingside pieces...AT ALL."

I tried to be that articulate in my recent videos but I was like "uhh, yeah, umm, well, huh? oh, yeah. so, yeah." It's like the more I try to explain the worse I explain.

lol thanks Tongue Out

Yeah, Mainline_Novelty was a lot of fun to listen to. He keeps it rolling along nicely and can play good chess at the same time. Awesome. Smile

I have made some videos since the first entry. Basically I want people to see more the kind of vids I can make. You can also google other vids and I especially recommend pattern recognition videos. In any case I would looooove to do these....I've literally spent every single day since seeing this on the refresh button on this thread I am so excited about this. But here goes:

1. Playing blitz vs high rated players:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t3n5WsbT6C8

2. Playing slighly longer unrated vs lower rated and more explaining:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QZcHUr1hZL0

3. Bullet brawls:

vs GM Joey http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lx3DhCZPnmc
and vs another user who challenged me: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r-i62IOQJwg

A small taste of what's I've got to offering... Lol so outclassed here but I believe that helps me get better? No worries the shows called " how u beat me in chess" and I haven't viewed it yet... Prolly a bunch of great stuff cheers

I see you have a Mac? you might want to use Quicktime to record the screen and then edit the video with iMovie ;)

If you get some echo, try to put the volume to the minimum (in the quicktime controls)

A little late to the party! But hopefully not too late. Always enthusiatic, hopefully poetic, and sometimes play good chess!

Throw in a couple Rensch pop culture references too!

Let me know what you think everybody!
Gotta love chess.com.

Technical Details:

Camtasia Sudio 8 to record the screen.

Microsoft LX-3000 Headset to record my voice.

*I should also note I lower the volume slider really low when I am about to record. That way I don't squelch when I talk. Later when I edit the video I amplify the volume three-fold.

how much did the screen recorder cost ??

@Chasm1995 If you knew me at all you would understand that regardless of how much i like someone, I would never tell people to vote for someone i didnt feel was capable of doing the work. It is just not what im about, people who know me know that about me.

You are still young and i understand that your life experience is limited in that way. This is not about who popularity in high school or college. Its about a man devoting much of his time freely to help others improve their game. He deserves to win period. He has worked very hard for it.

I agree that any sensible person would vote for who they thought was the best, but I also think that no matter who you vote for, it is a biased opinion, no matter what.  Maybe you prefered how they played, or maybe you just liked their personality better than another person.  It's you opinion and you're entitled to it.  I respect that you prefer a certain contestant, and you respect that others have different opinions on that.  It's not always on how much time something takes, though, but how you understand the way they are teaching.

I'll vote for Squarology.  (I haven't voted yet, if you would like to check.)

Tartarus_BW

I was a little sceptical about FM zibbit, because most of the votes for him were from people of his own country. But his videos are pretty good and he explains a lot.

Is it possible to recruit two players for the chess.com channel?

IM Squaralogy and FM zibbit are both excellent candidates!

TVEDAS

Hey guys,

I know it is probably too late to fight for the job, but maybe you will still find my videos entertaining and instructive.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ElNlzQU_83E Getting trounced by GMJoey in bullet. Dang he is good! This one is more for the entertainment purposes rather than educational material :)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1iltEj-_yMs&feature=youtu.be a couple blitz games. A bit more solid education wise, but still, I think I can do better than that with a bit more experience in this format.

Thanks for your time and let me know what you think! :)
