    1.Be4! g1Q 2.Bh7!! and there is no way to stop Qe7 mate.

    Yes that's good. But black could Ph2Q instead and need not play Ke6.

    I wondered if the point was to prevent Black Queening? The Bishop cannot do it alone. So 1.Qe7+ ... 2.BxPg2 would do it. White is now Q & B against B, his past pawn on f6 is protected and Black cannot Queen any pawn. Only a blunder prevents white's win.

    If ph2Q, it's still Mate in 3:

    1) Be4, ph2Q; 2) Qe7, Kg8; 3) Qg7#

    If 1.Be4 ph1Q then 2.Qe7+ Kg8 3.Qg7# and theres a "Mate in 3" like the title says.
