Essentially its the point of first taking away the king's safe spot of g6, then them having no good move on 2) ...x. Possibly the toughest puzzle ever?

good puzzle. i solved it, but with mistakes both on the 1st and 2nd moves. i tried 1. Qe7 and 1. Bg4, and 2. Qe7 after 1. Be4. the key to solve it seems to be the idea of controlling white squares around black's king, this is the only checkmate network that seems to work here.

yes this was nice. glad a puzzle was posted today. I don't know who thought just posting a full set without an actual puzzle today would be funny. someone needs to get fired... ok maybe not that far.
