uhhh, that's not at all what it is. =/
If the black takes white's free queen after the rook takes the pawn, then white continues forward with the Rook with Rxf8 delivering checkmate.

If black takes queen (1...Qxe2) then you checkmate him with Rxf8#.
Black's back rank is weak since white's rooks are doubled on the same file as black king's only escape squares. If black would have connected his rooks this tactic wouldn't be possible - this is a good example why it's good to have rooks connected.
