For the first move I tried everything but the right move - and then it was so obvious in retrospect.  I don't know if any other moves (the ones I tried) would have led to a win.  I'll still have some fun trying to analyze my various blunders.

Playing out the first line I tried  (1. Rxe6  fxe6, 2.Nxg6+ Kg8, 3.Nxf8....), I do think white will end up with a pawn or two advantage and good chance to promote one and win about 30 moves down the line.  But that's rather iffy - I probably made an additional blunder or two down the line.

I started out thinking about RxB followed by Nxg6+, but it wasn't forcing enough. Then I started to look for ways to threaten mate, as crazy as they may have looked, and I saw the solution...

yes it was obvious usually a rook sacrifice would allow queen to take the other pawn. with knight as controlling escaape square & protecting queen.

Very nice! Maybe the mate in 2 shouldn't have been mentionned... Doesn't take long to eliminate every possible move. Like 5-10 secs ish. All there is left is rook.
