Bah this was rubbish queen would have taken queen. Maybe a higher level play undstands this puzzle but for me didn't seem to make sense
Not rubbish. If Black does QxQ, then White takes the Rook. A player at any level should be able to figure out what that means.
I see the point. But, kind of a rule that is shoved down the throat. Take their Queen~! :D but, yes it does make a winning for the dude a bit more complex.

The queen sac-knight combo makes this a Philidor's mate, correct? Good puzzle. Why not gxNh6 from black?
Why do they call it Philidor's mate? In 1497 even Lucena showed this mate (queen's sac and knight mate)! They should call it Lucena's mate instead!
