i dont get it, how is this checkmate, why doesn tblack just move forward?

Black must move forward, then Bishop moves down, then Back forward again, then Rook over for mate.

Why not Bg6+ or g6+ with the pawn then the king has to move to h6, then Rxh8# ??? It's a checkmate in 2 moves insead of just checking on 2 moves. Stupid puzzle.

    Dear Daily Puzzle Staff

I would like to request future endgame puzzles in which checkmate is achieved without the involvment of whites queen or rooks. Thank you for your consideration

your solution is not mate, but bXg6 or pXg6 is mate on the next move because kingmust move to h6 and rXh8 is then mate

Fischer owned Bisguier thouth Bisquier beat him once [and also Petrosin once].

And guess who beat Bisquier when Bisguier was in his prime?

How is this even close to being a good puzzle? The solution is wrong. Mate in 2:

    h6+

    Kh6

    Rx8h#

....except that 1. h6 does not put black's king in check.

First you eat the knight then you put your other rook on c8

I think if you take the pawn at g6 with the biship and then chekc with rook you have mate would that not be better yea I know Black will check whites king once still better mate!
