Fun diagonal motif to the finish after blunt rook interuption..easy but fun and traps for the unwary..

Why didn't the King just take the Bishop on Black's second move?

There is no way to fulfil the title's requirement of finding a forced mate in 3.

White is nicely mating with queen and knight after sacrificing rook and bishop, but it will take 4 moves, e.g.:

    1.Rxf7+ Kxf7 2.Bxe6

    a) 2...Kxe6 3.Qg8+ Ke7 4.Nd5# or

    b) 2...Ke7 3.Nd5+ Kxe6 4.Qg8#

    I agree

Sorry dailypuzzle but this isn't a very good puzzle. 2. ... Kg6 is Black's worst move. Either of the other moves would make it mate in 4, not 3. A little bit disappointing for the puzzle to say mate in 3 when it is not forced but merely blundered.
