After 2.Kf1 Rd8, why isn't Qxa6 played?
I don't understand....
The real question is why 1... Kf1 instead of 1... Be3
The answer to that "real question" is 2 QxQd3 threatening QxBe3+ or QxRc2. So white must 2...e2xQd3. That is followed by BxBe3+ and in a position to capture white's advanced pawn at g5.
