The smothered mate is a much more pleasing option :P
The smothered mate works too, but it takes 5 moves
very good puzzle.
nice puzzle. I love the mates in 4+.
I was also looking for the smothered mate. haha Anytime there is a knight around that corner it is a good idea to have that idea. :)
I thought it would be smothered mate.
i thought so too.. turns out the actual solution to be much better :D
other way: 1. Qd6+ Ka8 2. Nc7+ Kb8 3. Na6+ Ka8 4. Qb8+! Rxb8 5. Kc7#
Nice Knight/Queen teamwork.
Easy one,all move's were check, and all forced except move three,if black move's 3.Nxe8...Kc8, 4.Qc7#.Thank's Chess.Com,good day chess head's.Title made it sound harder, but it was not hard at all!!!
Even if I was presented with this mate in a game, I would completely ignore it for the rare opportunity to get a Philodore's mate!
Know what you mean... think I would play Kc8 as black out of spite!
