Nice easy one!
Simple but effective mating sequence. I wonder how many times I miss combinations like this in my own games.
I'm sure I miss some. Even more, I fail to include them in planning ahead. For this to work, white had to get his pieces ready, maybe at a cost in material or allowing black to improve his position for attack. And maybe black had to fail to see it coming.
Daily puzzle does push us to consider queen sacs in our planning and execution. It is a hard lesson, because we like to hang on to our queens.
Today's Chessgames.com problem, white's 13th move in a Neberman vs Silbermann game was likewise a Queen sacrifice leading to checkmate.
I got it.
I guess actually solving the puzzle is something, but within my inner soul, I know that posting on the first page should be my real goal.
It's a fantastic 3 moves,,,,like my name,,heheheheh :)))
I got it.
Perhaps you need to have a good 'one-to-one' with your inner soul, old chap.
I find, a few drams [yes. Drams], of a Highland malt quite effective in achieving this altered state of consciousness.
Thanks for the lesson! The Pin is mightier than the sword!
