I would have if my visual calculations is correct 1.exd7+ Kd8 (1...Kf8? 2.Re8#) 2.dxc8=Q+ Kxc8 3.Be6+ Qxe6 4.Qxe6#. Not as fast as game variation, but I like the discovered checks.
