good puzzle, but it's not necessary to sacrify the queen. moves with bishop and pawn are enough. i don't undersatnd the first white move the queen take the black pawn? if someone can explain me?

Qxh4 is needed because if not the sequence would be Bg7+ Kh5, g4 and then black must play hxg3+! and there isn't way to force the mate!

QxH4 is needed because

BxG7+Kxh5, g4+g3 and the king is free.

Kinda nice, the queen has to be saced just to get rid of an annoying en passant capture. :)
