White doesn't quite win yet. Black still has an out. If anything, black has a slight strategic advantage, but a numerical disadvantage. Also, sorry in advanced: I got a bit carried away and played the game out. Pretty much everything after the 7th turn is just me playing myself, and is irrelevant to the point.

Edit: I got confused at turn 20 with the white king.

Still though, interesting puzzle. Cheers.

I think the idea was that if Qxe7, it would be a mate. But only if black didn't move it's bishop.

Yeah like other chess puzzles I have seen there is a flaw in it.

At least 70% of people would take the White queen with the black queen.

Then the whole CM strategy for white is screwed and the game will play out differently.

But if black takes white's queen, white can play Bxf7#
