Where is Sunday's puzzle. This puzzle is stale since Saturday. The pouzzle is stale, not the mate, mate. I am pretty sure it is Sunday in most of the planet now since I live pretty near the arctic circle and it is 6:38 am Sunday
I seriously hate it when people quote themselves, or if they wanted to add more things onto their posts they don't use the "EDIT" button.
was that a puzzle..?
I don't think so!!
Yeah like other chess puzzles I have seen there is a flaw in it.
At least 70% of people would take the White queen with the black queen.
Then the whole CM strategy for white is screwed and the game will play out differently.
You betcha, Sean!
Could this be why at least 70% of us are not Grandmasters?
TOO MUCH FOR A SUNDAY, MY BRAIN HURTS !!!!! Good puzzle though...
EASY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Oh and wait didnt we do this puzzle yesterday too??????????????????
This was yesterday's puzzle
Nice puzzle I knew I had to keep checking due to the pending checkmate by Black; however, I didn't look at the 2. Qg3+ check at first bcz of of 2. ...Qxg3.
Then I saw that if Qxg3...3. Bxf7#; thus, White's Qg3+ is the winning move forcing Black to block with N both allowing white to win the Black Q and while still keeping Mate attack alive.
No. The whole point of chess moves is to block a plan of the opponent and by taking the white Queen with the black queen that is what happens. End of story. That's the move I would make rather than sitting like a dummy waiting for my black queen to be taken by the white queen as per the so called puzzle.
Here is another possible way the game might play out from where the puzzle left off:
