It was a nice puzzle though, you're right on that aspect of things.
It was an easy one.The answer was obvious
It's a good one today. I liked the buffet of mate options once that last move is made. There's no final mate on the puzz because it could be done different ways; the important thing is that there's no way out!
That explains why it ends where it does. Thanks for that.

I don't like it, but Im a noob.
I love that the actual game did end with Grigorian playing "2... Kh7" (leading to the shorter mate) before resigning -- even to him the knight promotion was not so immediately obvious, it seems!
Took a little longer than usual to solve, good exercise for us old gits !
